If you set up your controls after plugging in the throttle first and then plug in the stick first next time, Windows might kinda "swap" things and DCS will mix stuff up. Since the X56's throttle and stick each have a USB connection, it is important to get into the habit of plugging either the stick or the throttle in consistently. You don't really get any significant benefit when using the Saitek/Logitech software in this case. To be honest, it is easier to simply bind all your controls via DCS's own controls menu. In fact, I just installed the software for the X56 and never touched it again. I have been using Saitek HOTAS's for a a long time now (went from a X-45 to a X-52, and finally to a X56) and I have never really bothered to actually use the Saitek (and now Logitech) software to bind controls. Is there a complete (like for all planes and modules) profiles I can download and tweak to my likening vs doing everything from scratch ? Right now it's on default profile in that Logitec Software that got installed with Joystick driver. So yeah a little suggestion on how to program X56 from scratch hopefully by NOT using any Logitec stuff. All I want is when I press Fire 1 button, it's actually Fire 1 button and now something else. I mean honestly I hate ANY vendor programming software I rather take my time and do programming in game for each individual game. I see Logitec G with programming inside, so do I use that or in game button programming. So I am trying to wipe whatever in keybinds now and redu with what I want. We have in game buttons and joystick assignment that I love and used with my old Extreme 3D Joystick, I did a little upgrade and nothing works, I mean my throttle is surface controller now. Hi guys, quick question before I even start figuring this thing out.
